Lake of the Woods Fishing Licence free weekend

Licence-Free Weekend
July 10-12, 2009

Canadians will again fish licence-free this July 10th, 11th and 12th, 2009.


Beginning July 10th at 12:01 a.m. and ending at midnight July 12th, anglers without a licence, will have to follow the rules and regulations of the conservation licence. All other other fees and regulations apply including size and sanctuaries. This licence-free weekend is available to all Canadian residents. Lake of the Woods fishing licence providers have regulations booklets readily available.

Lake of the Woods is well known for it's wide variety of fish. Walleye, pike, bass, lake trout, crappie and the mighty muskie all cruise the Lake of the Woods as well as other area lakes.


Please keep in mind that catch and release is a great way to be sure that future generations will be able to enjoy the great sport of fishing on Lake of the Woods.
